EVENT + PRINT DESIGN | AIRBNB FOR WORK

in the Field Austin is an ongoing prototype in business offsites hosted in collaboration with friends at Airbnb. Speakers and attendees of Austin’s 2019 Design Thinking Conference were invited to a dinner that went beyond networking in a hotel event center. My team at IA Collaborative designed an evening that championed intentional community building, embraced vulnerability, and democratized the dinner party experience.

ENTEREnamel pins guided guests to their table where they found the Texas-native flower that matched their pin.

Guests had the option to help choose a record, set out drinks or start the campfire in the backyard.

ENGAGE
Family-style dinner promoted a culture of community and sharing.

The Pursuit Wall asked thought-provoking questions gathered from pre-party interviews with guests.

EXIT
After a closing campfire, each guest was sent home with a guide to create belonging at work and insight on designing better work offsites.

EXTEND
As a follow-up, we sent a giftbox with promotional goodies and a bound book of insights from the event.
